In a shocking incident emerging from Bengaluru—often hailed as the technological and scientific hub of India—a disturbing case of animal cruelty has left residents horrified. The city, known for its modern infrastructure and rapid technological advancement, has become the center of a gruesome event that feels entirely out of place in this era of progress.
The case involves a woman who allegedly killed her pet dog in a brutal manner, reportedly as part of a black magic or spiritual ritual. The incident came to light when residents of the apartment complex noticed a strong, foul odor coming from the woman’s locked apartment. Concerned, they informed civic authorities, prompting a rapid response from municipal officials.
Upon arrival, officials forced entry into the apartment and were confronted with a deeply disturbing scene. Inside, they discovered the decomposing body of a pet Labrador wrapped in cloth. The body, which was already rotting, was sent for post-mortem examination, which revealed that the dog had died approximately four days prior to the discovery.
Authorities also found disturbing items scattered throughout the apartment—photographs and materials suggestive of spiritual practices and rituals, pointing investigators toward the possibility of black magic being performed. According to preliminary findings, the woman is believed to have first strangled the dog before beheading it as part of the ritual. She then locked the apartment and fled the scene.
Shockingly, two other pet dogs were also found alive inside the flat, tied to the wall and left without care. Both animals were rescued and immediately sent to a veterinary hospital for treatment.
The woman, a resident of the apartment, reportedly kept three dogs in total. It is now confirmed that she is responsible for the brutal killing of one of them. Authorities are continuing their investigation, focusing on her motives and whether she was acting alone.
In a city celebrated for its technological advancements and rational thinking, such superstitious and inhumane acts are a grim reminder that blind belief in harmful rituals still persists. The case has sparked outrage, with many calling for strict legal action against the woman for cruelty to animals and for conducting rituals linked to black magic.
