This video is from Florida, and according to local news sources, this incident occurred on October 27th, 2025. A crocodile was seen holding a dog in its mouth, and this clip is extremely disturbing. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has confirmed this incident.
This incident was recorded in Satellite Beach, Florida, by a local resident named Zack Spurlock. He told the news that this was not the first time he had seen the crocodile in the canal. Three weeks ago, he had also recorded a video of a crocodile swimming in the same canal. The canal is not far from an elementary school and residential areas, making it a matter of concern for the locals.
According to Spurlock, his friend had told him that he spotted something strange and heartbreaking. Spurlock shared that as a dog owner himself, watching such a scene was heart-melting. Although he could not help the dog, he mentioned that it was probably a golden retriever-like dog.
“It was just heartbreaking. I mean, I’m a dog owner. I know they’re part of the family, and so I couldn’t help but have my heart go out to them—that their worst fear had come true,” said Zack Spurlock.
Spurlock also mentioned that before this, about three or four times, the crocodile had been relocated, but somehow it managed to return to the canal and the nearby residential area. Witnessing such a scene is extremely disturbing and also raises serious security concerns.
“I got a text from a friend that was walking with their baby in a stroller, and 10 feet away was this 11-foot crocodile swimming with a Golden Retriever-type breed in its mouth. And so at that point, I couldn’t help but go there,” he said.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has advised people to keep their children and pets away from the edges of water bodies.
