A 44-year-old man was killed in an accident in Karnataka, and initially, it was thought that this incident was just a usual road accident, as often happens on Indian roads.
But when authorities checked the CCTV footage to understand what actually happened, they found something different, as it was not a usual accident caused by careless driving or overspeeding.
On January 15, 2026, a 44-year-old man named Vishwanath Shirol was found dead in Athani town of the Belagavi district in Karnataka. After the investigation, authorities checked the CCTV footage, which showed that before the accident, the man was being chased by a stray dog in the area.
Earlier, it was believed to be a normal accident, but the reason was that he panicked after being chased by a stray dog. Due to panic, he lost control and directly hit a wall, and because of severe injuries, he died.
His family stated that he had a fear of dogs for a long time. Earlier, he had been bitten by a dog, which increased his fear. To avoid being bitten again, he panicked, lost balance, and directly hit the wall, which led to his death.
He was the sole earner of his family and was taking care of all of them. He lost his life in this road accident, and people in the area are very angry due to the rising number of stray dogs. Dog-bite cases and dog attack incidents are also increasing in the area, and people are demanding that local authorities take serious action regarding the stray dog issue.
