During a drug bust, Michigan State Police spotted something unexpected that no one would have anticipated in a drug operation.
The agency’s Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team executed a search warrant on Tuesday at a home in Detroit’s Downriver region. Michigan State Police were expecting drugs to be hidden in the house, which is why they conducted a thorough search. They did find the drugs they expected, but they also encountered something that took them by surprise.
They spotted an alligator in the house, along with the drugs they had been expecting.
In this search operation, they uncovered more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of heroin, six grams of cocaine, over 370 grams of various pills, nine firearms, and an alligator.
The alligator discovered during the drug bust was handed over to the local animal shelter.
