England’s retired former all-rounder cricketer, Sir Ian Botham, was on a trip to Australia. Along with his rival cricketer Merv Hughes from Australia, he was on an advertising trip on the Moyle River in northern Australia. While on the river, the former England all-rounder player fell into the river, which is known for being full of crocodiles and bull sharks.

It was such a quick incident that the player did not have time to react. In this river, there are many hungry crocodiles and sharks swimming in the water. Anything could have happened if the Australian fast bowler wasn’t on the trip.

As soon as Botham fell in the river, Merv Hughes quickly pulled him up onto the boat.

After this incident, Botham shared a post on Instagram, stating that he was fine and that nothing serious had happened.

He wrote on Instagram:

“My catch of the day was the barra [fish] while I was nearly the catch of the day for all the crocs and bull sharks…
Thanks boys for getting me out.”

I have completed my Master's degree in Zoology and I like exploring new information about animals. Apart from human there are a lot of living beings so I try to introduce something informative about living beings (animals).
