Cassius, the world’s largest crocodile died In North Queensland

World’s Largest Saltwater Crocodile is no more. He had the World record of the largest Crocodile in the world. It’s size was massive and it was famous for its huge size. The Crocodile was first time spotted in 1980s. His age was not known but as per the current date he would be 110 year old. The total length of this crocodile was 5.48-metre. Which makes him huge crocodile to hold the world record.

It lived on Green Island in the Great Barrier reef. His Name was Cassius. The recent news is coming from Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat . They confirmed that this massive crocodile passed.

He will be missed because he was famous on the park. It is told that he was old and his health started declining.

Marineland Melanesia Crocodile Habitat announced the croc’s passing on Sunday afternoon, calling him “a cherished member of our family”.

He had lived in a wildlife sanctuary on Green Island near the Queensland tourist town of Cairns in Australia for more than 37 years, according to the sanctuary’s Facebook post.

He took the title after the death of Philippines crocodile Lolong in 2013, who measured 6.17m long (20ft 3in) according to the annual reference book.

Cassius, a saltwater crocodile, held the Guinness World Records title as the world’s largest crocodile in captivity.

“Cassius will be deeply missed, but our love and memories of him will remain in our hearts forever.”
